We can quickly get caught up in living life in our own strength, serving in our own ability, giving in our own capacity. Every once in a while I find my self wanting to drop everything and run from it all, sleep for three straight days, or leave on a month vacation… right now. These three aren’t always an option. Nor are they the answer.

The answer is simple: “Linds, you’re trying too hard" - We weren’t made to carry these burdens. His heart is for us to "live freely and lightly."

Last night I was blessed to have a moment in our Wednesday Night Worship Experience, where I encountered the beauty of the exchange of life’s burdens for His yoke - that is easy and light. I realized I didn’t have to sort my thoughts and feelings before going to Him. I just plopped in His lap and stepped back. I was immediately weightless… The heaviness no longer lingered on my shoulders, I no longer felt like I had to figure it all out, I was able to be at peace with just knowing He. Is. God.

If you’re feeling the weight of the world on your shoulders today. Do yourself a favor and “let it go”.

i am thankful for the hard times..they draw me closer to my Savior. they make me see life in a different perspective. they make me grateful and stronger.and in the end - light hearted. because i know that through anything i face in this life - i can make it with Christ. and He is making me who He wants me to be.
